What to Make of Tab Trade - Launched March 2026, Here Is the Deal

Tab Trade — What It Is

TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.

That last detail is relevant. It suggests the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.

What You Trade On

They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have used MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. cBot support. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be coming. That should round things out when it lands.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits beginners.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.

Execution Speed

The execution is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at a much wider range.

Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That signals something about priorities.

Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.

The FSRA Question

Now, the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your decision.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.

The Bonus

TabTrade has bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You put money in, TabTrade top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
