Tab Trade - The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It says the founder has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. But preferable to a random name you cannot trace.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities prime brokers run on. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: FX, indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that is a few months old, the breadth is broad.
The Software
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you know a MetaQuotes platform previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.
FIX API is there for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is said to be coming. That would be a good addition when it arrives.
Costs
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Suits people who want simple pricing.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit under half a pip. That is good for an offshore broker. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade does not.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not for typical accounts. Skip it unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
The speed is the area where TabTrade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. The average platform run 100ms to 300ms.
Should you care? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. The point is they invested in proper execution. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering is strong. Hardly anyone at this price point have infrastructure at this level.
The FSRA Question
This is the thing you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with Equinix connectivity. None of this make it safe. It does be part of your assessment.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal makes sense is your call.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade runs a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Standard deposit match. You put money in, the broker credit extra capital. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before you commit.
